Bakewell - August 2005
With only 4 days to go to our baby's "due date" we took a trip to Bakewell.
We sampled authentic Bakewell Pudding, which is not quite the same as the Bakewell Tart that is available in most supermarkets. You can see for yourself and even order some from The Original Bakewell Pudding Shop. We enjoyed lunch in Bloomers Cafe where the food is all home-made.
We also discovered a speciality whisky shop, The Wee Dram, which has a website with online ordering. The owner was most helpful and gave Steve tasters of several tipples.
